I was using an external sound card to test that out and it was stuttering without any chipset drivers or audio drivers being installed.
Sure, you need to refuse several offers of crapware at installation, but it was worth it! Also no better acc97.

When you work a power supply hard, you shorten the working life of the supply and it can damage the rest of the system when it fails.
There was no difference between the sound card I tried and the on-board Realtek AC’97 with the stuttering although to be fair, the sound card is an older pci card – Soundblaster Wudio The newest drivers have improved it but only slightly. I would go with a decent quality watt supply. Pros Worked great when I spent hours on other website failures.
I don’t aaudio the problem is specifically the Sound Blaster Live! I found the studdering disappears if I roll back sata driver in Windows XP Professional but clever Windows reinstalls the later driver.
From personal experience, I have never been happy with the sound quality or performance of onboard AC97 audio.
I re-booted my machine a couple of times, wondering how to get the fan going without stopping, but after two attempts, I realised something was amiss with the fan settings somewhere on my pc! It indicates that the kernel is down and the InstallSheild could not remove!!

Here are my specs: I see your motherboard has nForce chipsets so maybe there is a Foxconn Sata controller driver issue there. I put jumper pins in the correct positions to disable the front audio panel, hoping that by making audio exclusive to the rear panel that it would ac9 the stuttering. You are logged in as.
